The 20th Annual Walk for Life is coming your way!

On Saturday, November 5th, you can join hundreds of Walkers at our starting point in Santa Rosa Park, San Luis Obispo for a 10K Walk through the city in support of our programs serving people living with HIV / AIDS and Hep C.

Since 1984, the AIDS Support Network has provided essential supportive services for people living with HIV and AIDS - working to stabilize the live of our clients. By offering emotional, practical and financial assistance, we have been an important safety net for people struggling with a life-changing diagnosis. In 1999, our agency saw a trend in our community - an epidemic similar to HIV: hepatitis C - and we began providing services for people living with Hep C as well. Now, with over 400 clients, we strive to keep them connected to appropriate health practitioners and information, have the ability to access benefits programs, in safe and affordable housing, supplied with nutritional counseling and food through our Food Pantry, supported through a dedicated team of volunteers, and a variety of othe vital services. We also provide community education and HIV testing.

Your participation in the 20th Annual Walk for Life can help us continue to do all these things. If you can raise $250, it can provide:

• 7 individual counseling sessions
• 1 week of rental assistance
• 3 health exams at the local clinic
• basic lab work
• 150 meals
